As a full time massage therapist for over 15 years, Brenna has helped me recover from various work-related injuries with her extensive knowledge of the mind-body connection. Going to actual gyms is absolutely dreadful for me, so her program allows me to work out at home with minimal space, equipment, and people (haha).

Her one-one-one coaching keeps me accountable, consistent, and safe, as she can watch my form and demonstrate as needed. “I’ve been training with Brenna for about a year now, and in that time I’ve noticed my physical strength and confidence grow tremendously. I’ll admit that I was nervous before I started training with her because up until that point I was mostly sedentary, and I was very self conscious about my fitness level. Those fears dissipated within seconds of meeting her. Brenna exudes warmth and empathy and knows how to create an environment where it feels safe (and fun!) to workout. She’s also highly knowledgeable, which was important to me because I have a history of hip and knee injuries. I started training with Brenna in-person, but after a few months I switched to virtual training. Both experiences have been awesome. The instructions that she gives for the virtual workouts are easy to follow and she gives really helpful feedback. She also incorporates a good variety of exercises that keep me from getting bored, which I absolutely love. 

Before I started training with Brenna I experienced a lot of joint pain, and it limited the types of activities I could do (which was a huge bummer because I LOVE hiking and really wanted to be able to explore the outdoors without being in pain or worrying about injuries). Since I started training with her, I’ve started hiking again, went on a few weekend-long backpacking trips in the Adirondacks, and even climbed up and down a pyramid in Mexico without any knee pain. I can safely say that training with her has been one of the best investments I’ve made.”

“I have been working with Brenna for almost 3 months now. After 3 kids within 5 years, I was left with a 3 cm diastasis and no core muscles. My provider sent me to physical therapy and sent me on my way. When I had my yearly physical this year, I was told “it’s better than what was in your chart. Sorry your therapy wasn’t what you wanted.” A workmate told me that she knew of a trainer certified to help women with diastasis and sent me Brenna’s information. During our consult, we discussed my busy lifestyle and how I really wanted to get stronger, close my diastasis for good, and be able to do a full push up for the first time since my early teens. When I first started with Brenna, I could barely lift an 8 pound kettlebell or squat. Now, I’m closing my diastasis, have a stronger core, and not only am I able to fully squat, I can do it with a 25 pound kettlebell! Training Update:
Last week (9/17/2020) marked 1 year of training with Brenna. Today (9/25/2021) I ran my very first 5k and did better than I ever expected. Best part was, Brenna was right by my side the whole time! When I started training with Brenna I could never imagine running more than 5 minutes, let alone a 5k. I had tried running here and there but was never successful and eventually stopped trying. Only 6 months ago, we addressed the elephant in the room, the treadmill photobombing all of my training calls, and decided to add running to the mix. I cannot believe the progress I have made in that time. Brenna was also running the race today and since the moment I registered, she patiently answered all of my anxious questions, gave me tips and strategies to focus on on race day, and even met up with me to walk the whole trail the week of the race. Day of, she greeted me bright and early and guided me through an awesome warm-up. Her support and encouragement helped me believe in myself and I ran 15 minutes faster than I expected! Brenna is an incredible trainer and friend and I cannot wait to see what we can accomplish by the Turkey Trot… I mean in the future! Thank you Brenna!!

I started following Brenna on Instagram and really liked her attitude and approach. She seemed positive, smart, reasonable, and not intimidating. I have always been someone who prefers to do exercise on my own - with video or books but not classes and never a personal trainer. However, when I started to get more serious about getting fit and specifically getting stronger in order to be a more physically capable EMS & Fire service volunteer this past year, I felt like I needed expert guidance on how to reach my goals. Several months in, I am really loving training with Brenna! I have to admit the first week I thought, well, this was a nice experiment but there's no way I can do all of these different kinds of exercises plus videotape myself. Week 2, I thought, well, I guess I'll give it a chance through this month. Week 3 I was feeling stronger, better, and more confident. Week 4, I couldn't wait to sign up for the next month's training. Brenna is great about programming to meet my goals and accommodate my concerns. Her feedback is helpful, easy to understand, and always really positive and affirming. I don't feel embarrassed to have her see me struggle or look goofy as I learn things. I also like not having to think about what I should be doing - which exercise, how many reps, etc. I can focus on doing the exercises instead of researching and reading and wondering if I'm doing the right thing. Brenna has made a big difference in my life and training and I highly recommend her.

Brenna is knowledgeable when it comes to smart programming. She has strength trained me through 2 marathons and has significantly helped my performance. She is attentive to my needs and is in-tune with my body and how it functions. “I first started training with Brenna when I was still in college. I needed to start exercising and wanted to do something interesting, so I joined her boxing class and got hooked after the first session. After graduation, I moved out of state but when I moved back to the area, she was the first person I called. I’ve now been training with Brenna continuously for over a year. Even though we’ve been confined to FaceTime for most of that time, she’s still able to help me reach and exceed my goals. She’s very understanding and knows how to tailor a workout to you and your needs while also taking into consideration any limitations you may have so you don’t end up hurting yourself. She’s also very flexible so, if something comes up, I can just send her a text and reschedule with no problems. Plus she’s just fun to talk to. Her vibe is not so much hardcore trainer but more like a friend who makes you do things you don’t like (and she does it well). There’s no one I’d rather train with than Brenna.

PS — she taught me how to do a jumprope crossover over FaceTime which is pretty impressive if you ask me.”

“Trying to find joyful body movement I realized that I missed lifting, I used to do it in college while I played D1 volleyball (15 years ago). I also knew that I needed help with diastasis after having 4 kids. I have been going through a whole journey of loving and accepting myself the way I am and was able to have boundaries for what I was looking for in a trainer. I am so grateful for Brenna, she was my magical unicorn! The things I asked for: Postpartum certified, to be pushed but not to the point that I couldn't move the next day, and no talk about food, diet culture or weight loss. "I have been working with Brenna since November 2018. At that time, I was 6 months postpartum with my second baby and second C-Section. Although I consider myself to be an overall active and healthy person, my core was weak and I wasn't where I wanted to be and knew I needed a little help to get there. What started as a way to get me out of the house for some "me time" has become a staple in my weekly routine. Brenna tailors each workout TO YOU.
